Pastel Lover

For this makeup look I was very much inspired by the lovely Gabb from Velvetgh0st she recently created a gorgeous look I had to try out. I didn't use the exact same colours or products as G so make sure you go watch her video here.

Highlight - MUA '01'
Bronzer - Hoola by Benefit
Blusher - Sleek 'Pixie Pink'

Outer half of eye lid - eBay 120 palette I took this colour on a wet brush

Inner half I mixed these two colours that are also from the 120 palette

(The top right colour)

Through the crease to add depth I used this deep purple colour from the same palette.

I applied all these colour along my lower lash line in the same order.

I hope you all enjoy this look which is perfect for spring!! I'm also thinking of doing an 'Ask Em' so leave me some questions below :) xx

Current Faves

I think it's too late for me to do my January faves so I'm going to show you things I have been loving for a while now!

I always wash my hair when I feel it getting oily so I don't use this dry shampoo instead of washing but I use it to give my hair volume. This gives your hair a bit of texture so your hair has something to play with. It is a white powder however if you massage it in well to your hair the grey cast goes away.

I got this mini Hoola in a gift set and was so excited to give it a shot. Let me tell you it has not disappointed and I can completely see why it gets the hype it does. It is the perfect matte colour and doesn't leave your cheeks looking muddy as it blends in so well. I am definitely going to purchase the full size.

I am such a green lover and this is perfect. It applies opaque in one coat and dries in no time. The Gelly range from Barry M is brilliant as the nail polish wears for such a long time.

Like the Hoola bronzer I have heard people rave about this mascara and I was so keen to try it. I really enjoy this mascara it doesn't smudge under my eyes which is something I hate in mascaras. The wand it also very unique and amazing at applying the mascara evenly, the round top is amazing at getting the inner lashes.

MUA is one of my favourite drugstore brands as it is very affordable. I picked up this lipstick not realising it was matte but I'm very pleased it is. The consistency is lovely and the product applies nice and easy. This colour in particular is build able I personally like dabbing it on lightly and blending it out with my finger to add a flush of colour. I am 100% going to track down the red matte lipstick from this brand as you cannot go wrong for £1!

If you're a follower of my makeup posts then you will know I always use this as it is one of my favourite foundations. It is the perfect match for my pale skin. It claims to be a 3 in 1 and it does live up to that claim. It lasts a very long time and is medium to high coverage. I have however ran out of this so I will be purchasing a new foundation so let me know what drugstore one you recommend?

Let me know what your favourites are in the comments!!

In this 'tutorial', if that's what you could call these posts?, I will be showing you how the wonderful Barry M Dazzle Dust looks when applied wet and let me just tell you it looks magical.

I applied Max Factor Face Finity with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. This is one of my favourite combinations. I get my brushes from Amazon as they are heaps cheaper on there than in Boots.

I use Bourjois Bronzing Powder all over my face to add a bit of colour and Hoola by Benefit to contour my cheeks. Applied using these two brushes from the Real Techniques Face Kit.

To add a natural flush of colour to my face I took Sleek 'Pixie Pink' and applied a small dusting of that.

I recently rediscovered Rimmel Wake Me Up and I LUUUUV it. It applies and blends so easy and creates and extremely gorgeous highlight to the tops of my cheek bones.

Of course I use Seventeen Brow's That for the brows as it is perfect. I use it every single day I wear makeup without fail!

Through the crease of my eyes I used this matte brown colour from my Sleek Storm Palette to create some depth to my eyes.

Taking this flat brush from Forever 21 I wet it with water and then picked up some of the Barry M Dazzle Dust '39'. It applied like liquid copper and had a shiny wet look about it but soon dried. I love the Dazzle Dust because it does not smudge all about the place or crease which is fab. I'm sure it would look gorgeous with other eye shadows on top.

For mascara I applied a few coats of my Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express love love love this mascara.

I paired the eye shadow with this red lip using the Bourjois Color Boost in 'Red Sunrise'. I am really enjoying this lip product it applies shiny but after a while it turns slightly matte.

As always the products used are linked above so you can so have a nosey at them! Let me know if you've tried any of these products and what you thought?!?

Have a fab day - Emma, xoxo
